Someone posted a YouTube clip of this on AN’s forum. It looked interesting and I wanted to see it. None of the characters are who they appear to be. Don’t read ANN’s summary cause it’s a spoiler. I like the character design. I thought it was CLAMP. You’ll probably have to watch this more than once to figure out what’s going on. They save the mecha action for end and it goes quick.
I bought my copy used. This was an ADV films. The jewel case is part cardboard with a cardboard sleeve which the mecha peaks out of. It includes a character guide which I probably should have read.
I purchased H.O.T.D. after seeing an animated gif on AN’s forum called the “Boob Matrix” (google it). H.O.T.D. got no love at home from the wife due to the flesh-eating zombies and “tits and ass” so I ended up watching it alone. It took me a while to get interested in this title. It’s gory but lacks the finesse of horror titles like Hellsing. I got interested in the story by the end of the first DVD. The story ends too quickly and the characters aren’t given time to develop. The fan service is nice but not enough to earn this title an Oscar. A+ on the boobs and lingerie. This is also a great title for gun otaku.
I came across this CD when listening to MIO’s OP for Heavy Metal L-Gaim. Mami did the 2nd OP, “Kaze no No Reply.” Both are great singers and I’m dying to see L-Gaim since the music is good and it looks good as well. Perfect Best is a solid CD with an 80s feel. All her tracks made it into my favorites playlist.
I ordered 6 CDs from Rightstuf. Most were anime soundtracks. Most were not my first picks but had OPs and EDs that I liked. The price was good $1.99 – $5.00. Yoko Ishida’s “all of me” was included containing many popular OPs and EDs (i.e. Ai Yori Aoshi). I cannot believe it was only $5.00 AND included a mini DVD. Open Your Mind, the OP to Ah! My Goddess was included on the DVD. The quality is a bit grainy–probably not 480p. My shipment also included 3 DVDs; Toradora! set 1, Strawberry Panic, and K-ON
A couple of CDs arrived a few days ago. One is the soundtrack to Ai Yori Aoshi (Bluer Than Indigo). It’s one of the first anime I’ve seen. I love the OP and ED. I’m sure you would recognize “Promise” from the ADV trailer. The other CD is “Indigo suite Best Indigo Music.” The Indigo did several EDs to Ai Yori Aoshi. I notice there are two different covers. One version has a photo while the one I bought has an illustration on the cover. I was listening to “UNDER THE BLUE SKY” which sounded familiar so I looked it up on ANN. Turns out this is the ED to Someday’s Dreamers.
Today Chobits 002 arrived. I’m listening to it now. Chii sings Let Me Be With You! 🙂 More dialogs on 002 this time with Hideki and Chii. K-taro Takanami did a good job with the soundtracks and the character song collection.
Many of the songs begin with Chii saying cute phrases. There’s also a mix version of Let Me Be With You by Round Table. It’s a shame Pioneer Music went out of business here in the U.S. I wish I would have started my collection earlier. I bought this CD used. I buy my CDs used if they’re cheaper.
