Japan iTunes card

Japan Codes

Bought another 10000 JPY iTunes card for $96.00. That’s the best price so far. It took 45 minutes for them to send my code. Their order process is different than before. They confirm your order by texting your phone with a code to complete your order.

FYI it might take longer if your place your order after normal business hours. Google “japan time” to give you an idea.

Shohjo-tai: Super Vario

This CD arrived from Amazon Japan.  It’s condition was listed as “acceptable” although it was in surprisingly good shape.  No tears on the artwork.  This was a rental and the obi was taped to the cover.  There’s a sticker on the artwork that I’m afraid to remove because it might damage the artwork.  The CD itself is in excellent condition–it’s hard to believe this was a rental.

I bought this CD for “Kimi no Hitomi ni Koishiteru” (Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You).  It’s Shohjo-tai’s 1986 rendition of the Frankie Valli song.  There’s also a 1987 version of this song on their P-CAN album which sounds more 80s dance.

Japan Post EMS delivery fast except…

I’ve had packages arrive the same day they left Japan. Amazing! However, US Customs can delay it 45 days. I’ve read online your package sits in a warehouse on pallets without even being inspected.

US Customs snagged my latest package. I’ll update this if they really screw me.  It’s been been there for 3 days now.

Tenso found my CD

Tenso sent me an email they found my CD.  They said the package had the wrong Tenso ID so they didn’t know who it belonged to.

CD lost in Japan

First, I’ve never experienced any problems ordering from Japan until now.  I ordered a new CD from Amazon Japan last month and had it shipped to my Tenso address.  Amazon sent it with a tracking number and it was supposedly delivered to Tenso except Tenso said they never received it.

This made for a frustrating shopping experience.  I knew one of the CDs was missing but I didn’t know which one.  I never found out until I opened up the box.  I thought the missing CD was one sent without tracking but I was wrong.  I felt embarrassed too because I asked the merchant where the CD was and even gave them a bad Amazon rating.

I sent an email to Tenso asking what happened to my CD.  They said they will look for it but I’m not too hopeful.
